Boursin Plant-Based Dough Balls

For The Plant-Based Dough Balls
  • Place the flour, salt, olives and sundried tomatoes in a large mixing bowl.
  • Combine the plant-based alternative to milk, water and yeast in a just and stir well to combine.
  • Make a well in the centre of the flour and pour in the water mixture to form a rough dough. Stir very well then turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until the dough is smooth, elastic and soft.
  • Place the dough in a well oiled bowl, cover with a tea towel and leave in a warm place to prove until doubled in size - around 60-90 minutes
  • After the dough has risen, knock back the dough by gently punching it. Divide it into 30g pieces.
  • Place a ramekin, of slightly larger size than the Boursin Plant-Based in the centre of the lined baking tray. Arrange the dough balls around the ramekin in two circles then remove the ramekin.
  • Drape over a clean tea towel or cling film and set aside to rise, about 20-30 minutes, depending on the temperature of your kitchen.
  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC fan setting, and place the Boursin Plant Based at the centre of the dough balls.
  • Bake in the pre-heated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden and baked through.

  • 500g white bread flour

  • 100g sliced black olives

  • 100g chopped sundried tomatoes

  • 7g instant yeast

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 160ml water

  • 160ml plant-based alternative to milk

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
